While these briefs are especially perfect for people with large thighs, they are also ideal for "regular" sized thighs as well. Thanks to the elastic not needing to be particularly tight for any size to allow wearers to benefit from the non-bunching comfort.
The sizing of these boxer briefs are true to size. Therefore, whatever size most people have been comfortable in for other brands will likely be just fine. When in doubt, the size chart is also a helpful aid.
The short answer is: unless you get a size that is too small, the elastic will not cause discomfort. The compression needed to keep the briefs in place isn't so much that the elastic needs to be too tight at any size.
